HINTERLANDS (series)

Hinterlands, IV-VIII, 2022-24
drawings on wood and multiple layers of epoxy resin
(Pastels, graphite, india ink, epoxy resin, gesso on wood)
These works unfolds within a landscape that is not a depiction of reality, but rather an inner, hybrid space — architectural and organic at once. Lines do not merely define contours; they generate volume, tension, and spatial presence. Forms emerge through processes of layering, rising, drifting, and dissolution — as if they are simultaneously in the act of construction and collapse. What results is a drawn spatial body, a structure in flux, where movement becomes visible and transitional states take shape in a tentative, tactile way.
